Macclesfield v West Ham 2002 and West Ham v Everton 2015
I came across the video of the Macclesfield game a few weeks back. I'd forgotten about this but I now recall it was on BBC and they were desperate for Macclesfield to win.

I don't remember Moncs getting sent off but hardly a surprise. Appearances from an old Kevin Keen and a young Rickie Lambert for them and what might have been with Defoe and Cole for us.

Then the Everton match. Still enjoy watching these highlights and another Scouse team put to the sword under the lights in a replay.

Just to extend the FA Cup mood!

I went to Macclesfield and was an annoying dick trying to be seen by all my school friends behind the BBC box

I bought my first ever brand new car the day before and proudly drove it up to Macclesfield. The car park was a field that was so boggy they filled it with straw and people had to sit on the boots of other people's cars to get enough traction to get out. Got home and my lovely new car was a right state.

Missed the Everton game due to work but was able to watch it.

Weird feeling at the end, so relieved to win but so gutted I wasn't there

That's unusual.

Went to the Macclesfield game, I was 17. Good times.

My dad had just got in from a 12 hour night shift, and he drove me and my 2 mates to Upton Park for us to pick up the coach. Must've been about 7 in the morning.

Despite having just finished a 12 hour shift and then driven to UP from Upminster, you could tell he was desperate to go to the game.

On arriving at UP, it turned out someone had a spare going, so he bit their hand off for it.

A few hours into the coach journey up there my Mum, by now worried because she's woken up and he's not there phoned me: "Where's your dad?! He's not here and I'm worried! Did he get back from work?!"

I told her he'd given us a lift and there just so happened to be someone with a spare ticket so he was sat next to me.

..... She wasn't amused, and promptly hung up.

I vividly remember the pub near the ground was a converted house, with a Playstation on the wall and everyone queuing up for a beer along what would've been the hallway!

Adrian's penalty is an all time moment.

Carlton Cole not in the first five main penalty takers against Everton.

Whether he asked not to be, didn't volunteer or was told not to be, that tells you absolutely everything you need to know about him as a "striker".

Moncs was stitched up.

Fairly bad tackle which was a yellow, said something to the guy who didn't like it and steamed in.

Yellow for the challenge, another yellow for 'getting involved' (he didn't, he did nothing wrong at all).

Stupid ref.

Good to see Curly chops steaming in!

Was t the Macclesfield game the one where our only tactic was 'pass to Sinclair and hope'? And Defoe scored just before half time because the guy tracking him paused to pull his sock up?
